State-owned Corporation of Arzaq Earns Revenue from Its Properties and Provides Commercial Services to the Public
State-owned Corporation of Arzaq generates income from its properties and real estate. In Nangarhar province, it operates two commercial markets, one of which is a joint venture with a private company. While generating revenue, it also provides commercial services. The second market is under construction, with work currently ongoing.
Regarding this, the head of State-owned Corporation of Arzaq property and real estate management stated that, as per the company's commercial plans, operations have begun in Nangarhar province. One such project is a four-story commercial market leased under contract, located in the fourth district of the province, with annual revenue amounting to 3,988,800 Afghanis.
He further explained that the four-story commercial market, built on a 577-square-meter area, houses various shops selling different goods.
The official mentioned that the contract for the four-story commercial market in Nangarhar was signed with a private company under the public-private partnership law. The maintenance and management of the market are handled by State-owned Corporation of Arzaq, and the monthly revenue is deposited into the company’s account.
Additionally, the property manager provided updates on another five-story commercial market under construction in Nangarhar province. The construction contract for this market was signed in 1402 Hijri Solar Year (2023) with Shahzada Safi Private Company, also under the public-private partnership law.
According to the official, the five-story commercial market covers an area of 1,650 square meters. It is being built collaboratively and has a 25-year contract with the private company, wherein 30% of the annual revenue will go to the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq.
Since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, State-owned Corporation of Arzaq has accelerated its activities based on its commercial plans and objectives. Compared to the previous regime, there has been an 80% improvement in its operations.
It is noteworthy that over the past three years, the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq has achieved significant progress in economic and commercial development, earning a distinguished reputation and providing unprecedented services to the public.
Lastly, it should be mentioned that the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq owns commercial markets, cement and steel warehouses, and agricultural lands in various provinces, including the central office.
