In Uruzgan Province, eight types of food items were delivered to Professor Ghazanfar Institute of Health Sciences.
According to its core activities, business plan, and the approved plan for the current fiscal year, the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq recently delivered eight essential food items to the Professor Ghazanfar Institute of Health Sciences in Uruzgan Province.
Akhtar Mohammad Shirzai, the Supplies Director of Uruzgan Province, stated that the delivered items include 174 kilograms of rice, 54 kilograms of liquid cooking oil, 13.5 kilograms of table salt, 40.5 kilograms of beans, 20.25 kilograms of sugar, 10.125 kilograms of powdered milk, 2.7 kilograms of tea, and 675 grams of mixed cooking spices.
He added that these food items were handed over to the institute’s relevant official in the presence of a monitoring committee, in order to meet the students’ needs for the month of Aqrab.
Shirzai further explained that raw materials (such as legumes) were delivered in one shipment, while fresh items such as vegetables, fruits, meat, and dry bread—comprising nine categories—are delivered on a daily basis.
It is worth mentioning that the process of transporting and distributing food items by the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq is continuously monitored and evaluated nationwide by the company’s provincial directors.
