After a long delay, 9.51 jeribs of land belonging to the company, which had been under the control of the Muqur municipality, was released and handed back to the company.

Qari Abdul Basit Abu Tareq, the General Director of State-owned Corporation of Arzaq in Ghazni, stated that this property had been under the municipality’s control for several years; however, yesterday, in the presence of a joint delegation and based on official documents, it was officially handed back to the company’s management.

He added that the leadership and administrative delegation of the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq management had been pursuing their claim for several months, and finally, the Office for Handling Emirate Cases announced the matter in favor of the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq from both legal and Sharia perspectives.

According to Abu Tareq, the land was officially released from seizure and handed over to the company’s authority in the presence of the deputy district governor of Muqur, as well as representatives of the judiciary, finance department, municipality, 3rd Infantry Brigade, and the police command.

He further explained that the total area of this land exceeds 18,000 square meters, and currently, there are 31 shops, a mechanics’ compound, and a large grain and cereals market on it. Previously, all revenues generated from this land went to the Muqur municipality.

Meanwhile, the property officials of the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq described this as a significant achievement and expressed hope that this land would not only increase the company’s assets but also become an important source of revenue.

It is worth mentioning that this major development comes after several other properties belonging to the company were also reclaimed last year in Kunar and Kapisa provinces, and earlier this year in Ghazni.
