Objective (Summary) of Responsibilities:
Design and plan the construction projects of Arzaq Emirates Company and implement them according to set standards.


Qualification and Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a work plan related to the construction department in line with the company’s general plan to achieve set goals.
  2. Calculate, estimate, and prepare building cost sheets for creating construction projects and technical estimates for all construction parts of proposed and new projects.
  3. Design and engineering of construction projects for the company, including the preparation of new standard designs for renovations and structural designs for the company’s buildings in line with building codes and norms.
  4. Prepare and revise construction drawings with relevant details.
  5. Estimate construction volumes with itemized price lists.
  6. Ensure coordination and oversight of all construction activities and implement projects for the departments.
  7. Supervise all engineering-related construction activities and ensure that projects conform to designed plans.
  8. Review and provide feedback on renovation projects according to engineering designs for better implementation of construction activities.
  9. Examine construction materials in line with established building norms and regulations.
  10. Organize and maintain project files for construction activities for future reference and use.
  11. Implement department goals and programs related to construction projects according to construction standards.
  12. Coordinate technical designs with engineers for buildings before starting work.
  13. Create 3D and 2D designs and estimate engineering workloads.
  14. Communicate and coordinate with all company units and external agencies for effective project execution.
  15. Provide monthly, quarterly, annual, and as-needed reports on activities and achievements to inform the company leadership.
  16. Perform other duties assigned by authorized authorities in accordance with laws, regulations, and company objectives.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
Candidates must meet the following conditions to be eligible for this position:

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fields. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Required Experience (Type and Duration):

  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience for a Master’s degree.

Other Skills (Short-term courses, on-the-job training, etc.):

  • Proficiency in spoken and written communication in one of the national languages (Pashto or Dari) and knowledge of English.
  • Proficiency in computer programs (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D Max, Microsoft Project, MS Office, Structural Design) and other essential software and internet tools relevant to office work.
  • Management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the country’s laws applicable to the work area.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with other government and non-government departments.
  • Strong ability to convey and understand information.
